The information, released by the MIB, highlights the regions most affected by uninsured and hit-and-run drivers.
The West Midlands is particularly impacted, with eight out of the top 15 hotspots located in this area.
Other regions with high rates of uninsured driving include Northumbria, London, Thames Valley, South Yorkshire, and Greater Manchester.
Interestingly, Croydon saw the highest number of claims against uninsured drivers in the UK, with 30 claims submitted to MIB.
Despite this, due to the area's high population density, it ranked only 176th on the hotspot list.
The report coincides with the MIB’s work with UK police to get uninsured drivers off the road.
Police forces will use data provided by MIB and its partners to direct their efforts. This includes accessing Navigate, the central database of all active motor insurance policies managed by MIB.
Additionally, they will rely on Operation Tutelage markers, which are applied to vehicles that have been flagged by ANPR cameras in previous encounters and compared with data from Navigate.
When an uninsured vehicle is identified with an Operation Tutelage marker, it is flagged for police attention and addressed roadside.
